Snoop Dogg And Dr. Dre Confirm Release Date For New Album 'Missionary'

Thursday, 31 October 2024 Written by Jon Stickler

Snoop Dogg has announced the release date for his Dr. Dre-produced new album.

Taking to social media, the West Coast rapper confirmed 'Missionary' will arrive on December 13 via Death Row Records. Check out a teaser below.

The 53-year-old first announced details of the project earlier this year, telling Entertainment Tonight in August that the record offers a return to the sound of his 1993 debut album, 'Doggystyle', also produced by Dre. He also revealed that it boasts an "amazing roster" of artists.

At the time, Dre said: "I wanted 14 songs, Snoop wants 16, so we have that thing happening. I'm on song number 11 as far as the mixes go. I have to be done and delivered by September 1 to have a November release."

Both Snoop and Dre performed together at the Paris 2024 Olympics closing ceremony, which also featured Billie Eilish and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

'Missionary' will follow Snoop's 2022 album 'BODR'. The same year he released 'Snoop Cube 40 $hort' with Ice Cube, E-40 and Too $hort under the moniker Mount Westmore.
