The Boomtown Rats will tour the UK in autumn 2025.
Billed as Happy Birthday Boomtown: Celebrating 50 Rat Years 1975-2025, the trek will take the band to Nottingham, Birmingham, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Sheffield, Cambridge, London, Southampton, Manchester, Gateshead, York and Liverpool between October 10 and November 15. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on December 6.
They released 'Citizens of Boomtown', their first studio album since 1984's 'In the Long Grass', back in 2020. In February 2023, they put out the single No Tomorrow Like Today (The Legend Mix) as a tribute to bandmate Garry Roberts, who died in November 2022.
