Sam Fender has shared another track from his upcoming third album.
Reflective and built around a laid-back acoustic guitar melody, Wild Long Lie serves as the second preview of 'People Watching', due out on February 21 via Polydor.
It arrives with a bonus track titled Me And The Dog, which is also available to stream everywhere, but does not appear on the tracklist for the new record. Both new cuts are a contrast to the anthemic heartland rock sound of the record's title track which was shared last month.
The North Shields singer will preview his new LP during the winter UK and Ireland leg of his People Watching Tour, which kicks off with a show in Dublin tonight (December 2).
The European leg will follow in March, before he plays his biggest headline show to date at London Stadium on June 6, and three hometown concerts at Newcastle’s St. James’ Park on June 12, 14 and 15. £1 from every ticket will be donated to the Music Venue Trust in support of grassroots venues.
Prior to that, he'll play New York's Webster Hall on February 11 and will head back across the pond for a short run of North American dates in April.
Next summer, Fender will also appear at Hurricane and Southside festivals in Germany, and Rock Werchter festival in Belgium. Tickets are on sale now.
