Sky Ferreira Releases First New Single In Two Years Leash

Sky Ferreira has shared her first new single since 2022.
Titled Leash, the bold, synth-rock track is taken from the upcoming Halina Reijn-directed A24 film Babygirl, due for release on December 25 in the US and on January 10 in the UK.
Co-written with Jorge Elbrecht and produced with Elbrecht and Evan Voytas, it marks Ferreira's first independent release since she was dropped by Capitol Records in late 2023.
There's still no news on her long-awaited sophomore record, 'Masochism', which has been teased since 2015, though in a new interview with Vogue, she reveals more about her "fraught" relationship with her former label, and her plans to self-release another new song in 2025.
Ferreira released her debut album, 'Night Time, My Time', in 2013.
