Blondie have offered an update on their new album, due out in 2025.
The band's co-founder and guitarist Chris Stein shared the news with a post on Bluesky, unveiling a black and white photograph of iconic singer Debbie Harry and Grammy-winning producer John Congleton in the studio, with the caption: "With John Congleton. New Blondie record next year."
Stein revealed back in the autumn that a new Blondie project was on the way, taking to Instagram to reveal a photo of Harry in the studio, along with the caption, "New Blondie album next year."
The new album will mark Blondie's first studio record since 2017's 'Pollinator', which Congleton also produced. It featured collaborations with TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek, Dev Hynes, Sia, Johnny Marr, Charli XCX and Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi.
