De La Soul have announced the release of a rare EP featuring a collaboration with A Tribe Called Quest.

The hugely influential hip hop group have raided their vaults to give the six-track 'Clear Lake Audiotorium' an official release on March 7.It will be available digitally, on limited edition CD and sea green vinyl. Head here for pre-orders.

At the time of its initial arrival in 1994, only 500 copies were pressed and distributed as an exclusive promotional release to select DJs. Announcing the news with a post on Instagram, De La Soul wrote:

"Originally pressed in 1994 as an exclusive promotional release for select DJs, 'Clear Lake Audiotorium' has achieved near-mythical status among collectors. The album includes four tracks from the 'Buhloone Mindstate' era, with two rare collaborations: sh.Fe.Mc’s featuring A Tribe Called Quest and Stix & Stonz with contributions from Tito of The Fearless Four, Grandmaster Caz, L.A. Sunshine of the Treacherous Three and Prince Whipper Whip."

De La Soul will play a choose-what-you-pay hometown concert at New York City's Lincoln Center on January 17, followed by dates in Miami and Switzerland in February. Head here for details.

They put out their most recent album, 'and the Anonymous Nobody...', in 2016. A record comprising several remixes of their '3 Feet High and Rising' track Say No Go is set to arrive on February 6.
