The hypnotic indie-rock track marks the second preview of the Liverpool band's new album, 'Lust for Life, Or: 'How To Thread The Needle And Come Out The Other Side To Tell The Story', due out via Lower Third on March 14. Vocalist Sean Murphy-O'Neill said:
"After You was the first song that we wrote for 'Lust for Life'. It is an exercise in direct songwriting, an attempt to create something very straightforward. We wanted the wall of guitars and the drums to feel almost hypnotic. A lot of the album is about the idea of duality, and lyrically - the song can be read in either a stalkerish voice or a romantic voice. It’s all up to you."
The four-piece announced the follow-up to last year's 'New Last Name' in November, and shared the first single, Pause At You.
They'll support the LP with a UK tour in the spring. They'll also appear at the inaugural Together Again Festival in Chester in July. Tickets are on sale now.
