TV On The Radio's Tunde Adebimpe Announces Debut Solo Album 'Thee Black Boltz'

TV On The Radio's Tunde Adebimpe has announced his debut solo album.
'Thee Black Boltz' will arrive on April 18 via Sub Pop. Produced by Abebimpe and Wilder Zoby, it features contributions from his TVOTR bandmates Jaleel Bunton and Jahphet Landis, and reflects on the ups and downs of the human condition, in all its forms.
The multi-hyphenate teased the record with the October single Magnetic, with a further preview arriving in the form of Drop, a propulsive track that's built on a human beatbox sample with soaring melodies and vocals. Press play below.
They've released five studio albums to date, the latest being 2014's 'Seeds', after which they went on hiatus. They played their first shows in years in late 2024.
