Feeder Announce 'Comfort In Sound' UK Shows And Reissue

Monday, 10 February 2025 Written by Jon Stickler

Feeder have announced six special UK shows for later this year.

The Newport rock duo, Grant Nicholas and Taka Hirose, will celebrate their fourth studio album, 'Comfort In Sound', with shows in Leeds, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol and Birmingham between September 26 and October 11.

Released in October 2002, the record was Feeder's first following the death of their original drummer Jon Lee. The dates will see the band perform the LP in its entirety for the first time, including the singles Just The Way I’m Feeling, Come Back Around, and Forget About Tomorrow. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (February 14).

Nicholas said: "'Comfort In Sound' ‘is an album very close to our hearts and now feels like the right time to re-release it and let people re discover it again or for the first time.

"We hit a brick wall after losing Jon, so as a writer I decided to put all those mixed feeling and emotions into writing songs of recovery. Those compositions became the ‘Comfort in Sound' album and I think it opened both myself up as a writer and the depth and soul of Feeder as a band."

Feeder have also shared details of a 'Comfort In Sound' deluxe reissue, due out on September 12 via BMG. The new remastered version will be available on Transparent Blue Curacao vinyl, double CD, and digitally, with added orchestral remixes of Just The Way I'm Feeling and Forget About Tomorrow, plus a reimagining of Godzilla II. Head here for pre-orders.

Feeder, whose latest studio album is 2024's 'Black / Red', have Australian shows in the diary for April and European gigs scheduled for May. They'll also play Swansea's Tunes On The Bay in May, and Latitude Festival in July.
