Primal Scream Announce New Album 'Come Ahead: The Remixes Vol 1 (Vocals)'

Primal Scream have announced a new remix album.
'Come Ahead: The Remixes Vol 1 (Vocals)' will arrive through BMG on March 28, ahead of the Scottish band's spring Come Ahead Tour, their first UK and Ireland headline shows since 2023.
The project comprises 11 remixes of tracks from Primal Scream's 2024 album, 'Come Ahead', including the recently shared version of Innocent Money from Pet Shop Boys, which sees Neil Tennant contributing his distinct vocals.
A music video for the original recording of Innocent Money, directed by ex-The Jesus and Mary Chain member and renowned filmmaker Douglas Hart, has also been revealed. Commenting on the album of remixes, Primal Scream frontman, Bobby Gillespie said:
"We have been truly blessed that so many wonderful, talented and creative people have taken up the offer to remix songs from our ‘Come Ahead’ album with such inventiveness and enthusiasm. We are very proud of these remixes and at some point would like to release them on 12” vinyl and include the beautiful dub mixes to accompany them."
He added: "Andrew Weatherall set a very high bar with his remix work on ‘Screamadelica’ and I believe that everyone who worked on this latest project had that in mind as they entered the studio to do their stuff. You can hear the results for yourself. Enjoy!"
An album of dub mixes, titled 'Come Ahead: The Remixes Vol 2 (dubs)', is expected to follow, with details set to be revealed soon.
Primal Scream will also play Y Not Festival in Derbyshire this summer, following a European tour that runs between June 4 and 20. Tickets are on sale now.
