Lukas Nelson has announced his debut solo album.

The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and musician, known for his work with Promise Of The Real, will drop 'American Romance' on June 20, marking his release for Sony Music Nashville. Produced by Grammy Award-winner Shooter Jennings, whose résumé includes work with Brandi Carlile and Tanya Tucker, the record chronicles Nelson's life on the road through 12 tracks.

It features collaborations with Sierra Ferrell and Stephen Wilson Jr, alongside contributions from Anderson East, who produces Disappearing Light, SistaStrings on cello and viola on Montana, drummers Matt Chamberlain and Chris Powell, bassist Corey McCormick, dobro player Marty Muse, Russ Pahl on pedal steel, Brian Whelan on acoustic guitar, and Eleanor Whitmore on fiddle. Nelson said:

"This album is the first chapter in a whole new era of my life as an artist. It's a love story to the country that raised me. Diners and highways that carried me through the joy and pain that led to the music you hear now."

As a preview, the Californian native, and son of country icon Willie Nelson, has shared the single Ain't Done, a sweeping, acoustic country offering that reflects on his travels across the country. He explained:

"I went through this period of self-reflection and George Harrison’s song, All Things Must Pass, was part of what got me through that moment. It gave me that understanding that it’s not for us to know what comes next. Everything changes and nothing stays the same."

Nelson's most recent album is 'Sticks And Stones', which he released with Promise Of The Real in 2023.
