Mumford And Sons Add Newcastle And Leeds Shows To Winter UK Tour

Mumford and Sons have added two new shows to their UK and European tour later this year.

Due to demand, the London band will play Newcastle's Utilita Arena on November 29 and Leeds' First Direct Arena on November 30. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Thursday (March 27).

The new gigs will take place ahead of their previously scheduled performances at arenas in Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Cardiff, and London, where they'll take over The O2 on December 10 and 11. Support on all UK shows will come from Sierra Ferrell.

The European leg of the trek will commence on November 6 at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm, and wraps up on November 25 at the Sagres Campo Pequeno in Lisbon, Portugal. Tickets for their previously confirmed dates are on sale now, and £1 from every ticket sold will benefit War Child.

The group will release their new album, 'Rushmere', this Friday (March 28), having previously shared its title track and the single Malibu.

They're currently celebrating the record with a run of intimate North American shows, which concludes with a performance at Brooklyn's Paramount Theatre on Wednesday (March 26). They'll also mark the album's release with UK launch shows in Bristol, Liverpool, Kingston between March 31 and April 1, plus global listening events are taking place at local record shops up until Thursday (March 27). The band will also headline BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend at Sefton Park, Liverpool on May 25, and play a sold out show at Dublin's Malahide Castle on July 4.
