Black Honey have returned with a new single, Psycho.
Back after a year's break (if we're overlooking summer festivals), the Brighton band usher in their Stanley Kubrick-era with the melodic dark-pop track and its eerie Clockwork Orange-inspired video from director Harv Frost. Vocalist Izzy B. Phillips said:
"Psycho is a nonsensical, down the rabbit hole feeling of being a voyeur in something that feels really surreal. It’s about wondering if this life is “the movie” maybe it’s written badly. A bit of nihilism and escape with a bigger look at the mundane, the psychotic and the existential."
Black Honey have also confirmed intimate ballot-only shows in Manchester, Brighton and London for mid-April. Sign up here for a chance to get tickets.
They released their latest album, 'A Fistful of Peaches', in 2023. Their previous records have drawn inspiration from cult films from different directors, including Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson.
