Rolling Stones Announce Rescheduled European Tour

Friday, 02 June 2006 Written by Stereoboard.com
ImageVeteran rockers The Rolling Stones have announced their rescheduled European dates, as part of their 'A Bigger Bang' world tour.

The tour, which was set to kick off in Barcelona last Saturday, was postponed last month after injuries sustained in a fall to guitarist Keith Richards required emergency brain surgery.

The new dates will now kick off in Milan on July 11th, although some shows are still to be announced at a later date, while shows in Nuremberg and Liepzig have been cancelled completely.

The dates in Barcelona, Madrid, Brussels, Gothenburg, St Petersburg, Warsaw, Brno, Zargreb, Franfurt and Athens are still to be reschuled.

“We have put in as many shows in as many countries as was feasible. This is still going to be the most incredible rock show ever," said Rolling Stones promoter Michael Cohl.

Keith Richards added: "Excuse me, I fell off of my perch! Sorry to disrupt everyone's plans but now - It's FULL STEAM AHEAD! Ouch!!"
