Kings of Leon Releasing Live DVDIf you were part of one of the most popular bands of current times how would you go about capping off yet another monumental year? Why releasing your first ever DVD of course!

Just over 12 months after the release of one of the most defining albums of recent times “Only By The Night”, Kings of Leon are on the brink of releasing an up close and personal DVD capturing their epic London shows which took place last June.

The DVD, “Kings of Leon: Live at the O2 London, England”, is to be released on November 9th (Blue-Ray version released on November 23rd), and captures the band at the top of their game, documenting their epic O2 London area concerts. Kick-starting a busy summer schedule hitting most of the UK top music festivals, the O2 shows were some of the biggest of the bands career in the country that was first to embrace them. The gigs - which sold out within an hour of tickets going on sale - saw the band reach back through their back catalogue and rock to 18,000 fans in a packed out arena.

While the band may hail from the Deep South of the United States, Kings of Leon have turned Britain into a home from home. Their latest album has sold over 2 million copies since its UK release in September 2008, and spawned modern day anthem “Sex on Fire” which has become the second most downloaded digital single in the country. The band are now planning to bring out a remixed version of the album very soon, seeing the bands material pulled apart and pieced back together by artists such as Justin Timberlake and Linkin Park.

Despite an “un-connected” relationship with the crowd during their gig at Reading festival this year, the nation has truly taken the Followill’s to heart following four albums that have seen them mature into stunning songwriters. Kings Of Leon fans are now able to look forward to the bands fifth studio album, band drummer Nathan Followill has told American Entertainment magazine that Kings Of Leon want to be more adventurous. "There's stuff that sounds like Radiohead. There's stuff that sounds like Thin Lizzy. There's stuff that sounds like The Band," he said. "We're pretty much to the point now where...we can be experimental and try stuff we would've been scared to death to try on the first couple of records."
