Editors are known for an unrelenting tour schedule. In fact, if one of them died during a show, no-one would notice until the end at which point they’d have to be talked down from finishing the tour, on account of being dead. Next March’s tour is no exception, the last date is a hospital. Click here for tickets.
It’s been a meteoric rise (rising like a meteor? Never mind, it’s a good phrase) for the Birmingham foursome. Tom Smith, Chris Urbanowicz, Russell Leetch and Edward Lay met at college in Staffordshire in 2003 and by 2005 had a number 2 in the UK album charts.
Their third album ‘In the Light and on this Evening’’ was released on October 12 and is heavier and more industrial. Tom Smith explained this style fiddling with "If we'd tried to make another more traditional guitar record, I don't think we'd have got through it... for our own sanity, we had to do something we hadn't done before." The latest single from the album will be ‘Papillion.’
