Paul McCartney Announces London Christmas Tour & Tickets

The most successful musician and composer in pop music history is playing a one-off Christmas show in London on Dec 22. The sinisterly healthy 67 year old former Beatle will be playing the O2 arena on December the 22nd, exactly nearly 50 years since The Beatles played their first Christmas show in Liverpool. McCartney has a wikipedia entry that sounds like it belongs to three people, “singer-songwriter, poet, composer, multi-instrumentalist, entrepreneur, record and film producer, painter, and animal rights and peace activist.” Whilst it is inevitably The Beatles he is most known for, McCartney formed his second band Wings in 1971, composed ‘Yesterday’, the most covered song in history, ‘Mull of Kintyre’ the best-selling song in UK history (not including charity ones, which are cheating) and has written some good songs too. No, not the ‘Frog-Chorus’.
The man’s a walking piece of musical memorabilia. He’s one of those uber-famous types; if he sneezes, someone somewhere would buy the results. And he doesn’t perform much nowadays, since his last tour in 2003, he’s only played three big shows.
McCartney will be touring on a series of European dates, starting in Hamburg on the 2nd December and hitting London on the 22nd, via Berlin and Paris.
