Wainright comes from a musical family, his parents were famous folksters Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle. When they divorced, Wainright lived with his mother in Canada, learnt to play the piano and by the time he was thirteen he was touring with his mother, aunt and sister in a band called the McGarrigle Sisters and Family.
In time for his April tour, his new Album ‘All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu’ will be released into the wild. Called the greatest song writer on the planet by Elton John, Wainright is also a writer of Operas, an actor in films, a choreographer of dancers and a Canadian.
