Sultry Brooklynite singer and pianist, Norah Jones, will be singing in exchange for money for two special UK dates in London next year. They’re special because there’s only two of them. That may change with demand. Click Here to Compare & Buy Norah Jones Tickets
She’s jazzy and bluesy and poppy and country… um.. y due to her special upbringing. It was special because she lived in the Texan wilds and so was exposed to the joys of folk and country music, but loved the likes of Billy Holiday and then encountered Jazz when she went to a performing arts high school. Well-rounded.
Whilst studying for a degree in jazz piano, she went on a special summer out in Greenwich village. It was special because the bohemian environment of folk-ridden coffee-houses and clubs lousy with jazz got her writing her own songs.
The rest, as they say, is history. The people who say that are the people who can’t be bothered to write up Norah Jones' entire musical herstory. It’s a good one though, with struggles and awards and escaping the shadow of a famous musical heritage.
Anyway, here are her special gigs:
June 06 - Manchester Apollo
June 22 - London HMV Apollo Hammersmith
