Scouting For Girls Reveal UK and Ireland Tour & Tickets

Roy Stride and his perky pop troubadours are to hit the road for a lengthy April and May headline tour in support of their 2nd album ‘Everybody Wants To Be On TV’.
Scouting for Girls got their name as a play on words from the renowned Scouting for Boys handbook, first published in 1908 for the Scouts. The band were formed in 2005 by lead singer Roy Stride, bass player Greg Churchouse and drummer Peter Ellard and became an instant hit with the younger indie audience for their light-hearted pop style approach reflecting on childhood innocence and experience.
Since the early days the band have built-up a large internet based audience through their MySpace website and from regular chart success. Playing many popular venues such as London’s ‘The Dublin Castle’, Shepherd’s Bush Empire’ and ‘The Borderline’ lead to the debut album, ‘Scouting For Girls’ selling over 850,000 copies and hitting the UK album chart’s number 1 spot for two weeks in January 2008.
More recently, having played many of the big UK Festivals such as ‘T in the Park’ and ‘V Festival’, they have just finished recording their second album ‘Everybody Wants To Be On TV’. The album is set for release on April 12th preceded by the first single release off the album, ‘This Ain’t A Love Song’, on March 7th.
