Muse & Kasabian Big Winners at NME Awards

British bands Muse and Kasabian triumphed with two gongs apiece at last night’s 2010 Shockwave NME Awards.

Muse walked away with Best British Band and Best Website, whilst Kasabian won Best Album and an award for the Best Album Artwork for 2009’s ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’.

Though Muse lead singer Matt Bellamy did express his disappointment at losing out in the Worst Dressed category to Lady GaGa, who strangely won the Best Dressed award too.

Other worthy winners were the rather brilliant Bombay Bicycle Club won Best New Band, Arctic Monkeys who were awarded as the Best Live Act and Jamie T who beat tough competition to be crowned Best Solo Artist.
