Michael Franti is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, musician and poet from San Francisco, California. Starting his music career in 1986, as a member of the The Beatnigs, he went on to found The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy. In 1994 he started Michael Franti & Spearhead, who released their debut album, ‘Home’, in 1994. They went on to release a further eight albums, the latest being ‘SoulRocker’ in 2016. Michael Franti has announced a selected number of UK and Ireland shows for October in support of ‘SoulRocker’.
