Rascal Flatts are an American country trio hailing from Columbus, Ohio. Formed in 1999, the band consists of frontman Gary LeVox, bassist/pianist Jay DeMarcus - who are second cousins - and lead guitarist Joe Don Rooney. Throughout the noughties the band found a lot of success in their native US while signed to Disney’s Lyric Street Records label.
Between 2000 and 2010, the band released seven studio albums, all of which have been certified as platinum in the US — some multi-platinum, with 2004’s ‘Feels Like Today’ going five times platinum. All eight of their albums — bar their eponymous 2000 debut — have topped the US Country Albums chart. Their latest record, 'Back to Us', dropped in May 2017 and their new single, Back To Life, arrived in January 2019.
