Slayer are a thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California.
Formed in 1981, the band are credited as one of the ‘Big Four’ thrash acts alongside Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax. Boasting a heavy discography that spans 12 studio albums—the latest being 2015's 'Repentless'—they have one of the strongest legacies in rock and metal music, with countless critics dubbing them as the most important act in their genre. Slayer disbanded in 2019 after wrapping up a year-and-a-half long farewell tour, eventually returning to stages in 2024. Slayer will headline shows in London and Cardiff in July 2025, before headlining Kentucky's Louder Than Life festival, and playing a one-night-only show at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania, in September. HAD THE PRIVLAGE OF SEEING SLAYER AT THE RENO EVENT CENTER IN RENO, CA WITH GARY HOLTS BIG BROTHER BUTCH THANK YOU I FEEL SPECIAL i hope i get to see Slayer again soon we stayed at the Harris just a few blocks away we didn't have to leave the motel
