The Darkness are a rock band from Suffolk.
Formed in 2000, the band released their debut album, 'Permission To Land', in 2003, which hit #1 in the UK Albums Chart and solidified their place in the mainstream rock scene. They have gone on to release a further six full-length albums, including 'Motorheart' which arrived 2021, and are due to drop their eighth LP, 'Dreams On Toast', in March 2025. They have been honoured with a string of accolades throughout their career, including an Ivor Novello, Kerrang! Awards, Metal Hammer Awards, MTV Europe Music Award and even an Elle Style Award for Most Stylish Band. The Darkness will support their new record with the Dreams On Toast Tour, which hits the UK in March 2025, before headlining a pair of Irish shows in June and Belfast's CHSq in August.
