Stereoboard can reveal that the queen of country music, Dolly Parton, a legend in her own right, has announced dates for a UK tour in August and September 2011.
Born in 1946 in rural Tennessee, Dolly began performing as a child and was heavily influenced by the music of her church. When just 18, she moved to Nashville in search of fame and fortune. Forty-seven years on, she has succeeded in every way - and is still going strong.
Over the years she has received seven Grammy Awards, recorded forty-one top-ten country albums, and has been awarded countless accolades including induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Living Legend Medal presented by the U.S Congress.
Last month Dolly Parton revealed that she is currently working on a new album entitled 'Better Day'. A release date is yet to be confirmed but with the announcement of these tour dates, could these live shows see Dolly showcasing material to her fans.

August 31st - Liverpool Echo Arena
September 2nd - Birmingham LG Arena
September 3rd - Cardiff International Arena
September 7th - London O2 Arena
September 10th - Newcastle Metro Radio Arena
September 11th - Manchester Evening News
September 12th - Sheffield Motorpoint Arena
Tickets For Dolly Parton's 2011 UK Tour are onsale from 9am on Friday 11th February. Dolly Parton Tickets are priced from £55 - £75 for London O2 Arena and £50 - £67.50 for all other shows
