Multi-platinum selling US artist Josh Groban is confirmed to play in the UK on the following Autumn dates as part of his 2011 'Straight To You' world tour.
11th October - London Hammersmith Apollo
12th October - Birmingham Symphony Hall
14th October - Manchester Bridgewater Hall
16th October - Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
Josh will perform favourites from his best-selling albums, including his self-titled debut, 'Closer,' and 'Awake,' as well as songs from 'Illuminations,' which debuted at No. 4 on the US Billboard Top 200. He has now sold a staggering 20 million albums worldwide, in less than 10 years, and has been nominated for a Grammy and an Academy Award.
'Illuminations' sees Groban team up with the super-producer Rick Rubin (Beastie Boys), and together they have created a new musical zone, one where folk meets classical, where art meets intimacy, where immediacy meets timelessness and where, most importantly, Groban was free to express himself more fully than ever before.
Previous musical collaborations have been with British artists Imogen Heap and Charlotte Church and with the legendary Barbra Streisand. Josh was also a host on “Never Mind The Buzzcocks” this past December and appeared in the hugely successful “Glee.”
The concerts promise to be theatrical and interactive with the audience – a feature of Groban’s live performance.
