Controversial rapper Tyler, The Creator has surprised fans by revealing that he’d made friends with teen-pop sensation Justin Bieber – and that’d he’d like to collaborate with him.
Tyler, part of the rap collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, revealed that he and Bieber met in February earlier this year, and immediately started talking – admitting he was starstruck by the 17 year-old singer. He then went on to tell how’d he like a go at making music with the ‘Baby’ performer, in the style of 90s R&B in the style of Mary J Blige.
“I met Justin back in February,” explained Tyler. “He's a cool kid and when I got in there, he was talking about the 'Yonkers' video. It was weird, because I was sitting here starstruck, like, 'Oh, fuck, it's Bieber. He's asking me questions.' I'm like, 'Shut the fuck up so I can talk to you.'
“I just want to make '90s R&B, like break beats, hard drums with pretty chords and shit. I really want to do that. Like, I be listening to Brandy or the first three Mary J. Blige albums and Faith Evans. That shit is awesome.”
Something tells me that a collaboration between these two will see Tyler using the word ‘faggot’ a whole lot less than usual...
