Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has recorded a song with Slipknot singer Corey Taylor and American musician/producer Butch Vig, according to a post from Taylor’s official Twitter account.
The collaboration follows Grohl’s announcement that he had worked on a song with 80s metal group Ratt, which will be part of his nice side project which is currently only known as TBA. It’s unknown whether this new collaboration with Taylor and Vig will be part of TBA or part of one of Taylor’s or Vig’s side projects, though it was Taylor who broke the news.
He wrote: “HUGE checks off the Bucket List today- did a song with Dave Grohl and Butch Vig. Do the words 'holy shit' say enough about it?!?”
Meanwhile, the Foo Fighters are currently working on tracks for what will be there eighth studio album, and will record the album later this year. Grohl wrote through the official Foo Fighters website...
“We're not finished yet. There are still more shows to play, more songs to write, more albums to record, for years to come. I mean if you would have told me 17 years ago that in 2012 I would be writing songs for our eighth studio album... well.”
