The international touring festival Sonisphere will return to the grounds of Knebworth House next summer and the first big announcement from the event is expected at 8:00pm (GMT) on Monday 20th February.
It was revealed last month that Metallica, Slayer, Skindred, Mastodon, Soundgarden, Within Temptation, Children of Bodom, Kyuss Lives!, Clutch, Ghost, Gojira, Sister and Orange Goblin will all be performing at Spain’s installment of the festival, with Finnish metalheads being treated to the likes of Metallica, Machine Head, Amorphis, Gojira, and Ghost, however, UK fans have had a long wait for any form on news from the Sonisphere Knebworth camp.
Stereoboard believes the announcement will be made on BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe Evening Show at 8:00pm on Monday 20th February, similar to how the Download Festival was announced.
As for rumours of who will be appearing at this year's Sonsiphere Knebworth, top of the list seems to be Queen after it was reported earlier this month that the legendary British rock group will be performing with American Idol singer Adam Lambert as their frontman. Other acts tipped to perform include KISS, Evanescence, Van Halen and Avenged Sevenfold.
Stereoboard recently looked at who could realistically be playing at the festival with our own feature article. You can check that out HERE.
