Hip-hop and RnB star Nicki Minaj has dramatically deleted her Twitter account following a bust-up with followers over the weekend.
Minaj got into an angry 140-character sulk after a Twitter user began posting previews of her forthcoming new album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' online, against Minaj's wishes. After a number of angry messages and posts, the star finally decided that enough was enough – and deleted her account with the following message:
“And that's exactly why I'm paying the barbz dust right now! And deleting my twitter. Smdh [shaking my damn head] - don't cry for me Argentina. Like seriously, only so much a person can take. Good fucking bye.”
Some may not see the move as something big, but Twitter is a big part of mainstream music nowadays – with people like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Rihanna all using the site to interact with their fans in a way not previously imaginable. But, the action to delete the page isn't permanent until 30 days have passed – so Minaj has around a month to decide whether she is definitely done with tweeting.
Whilst you may not be able to see Nicki Minaj on the likes of Twitter, you'll still be able to catch her live at a venue near you this summer. If you need tickets, check the dates and details below.
