Tokyo-based pop-rock outfit taffy continue to take the UK by storm this year, and have now unveiled their music video for their forthcoming single ‘Flower Chain’ - which you can see below.
Out September 3rd, ‘Flower Chain’ is the latest offering from the Japanese outfit whose sound is scarily akin to the Britpop genre we knew, loved, and glorified throughout the 90s. Hot off the heels of the announcement of their October and November UK tour announcement, the band have carried on their conquest to make a big name for themselves across the entire globe.
Following widespread print and online praise for the debut album ‘Caramel Sunset’, the amphetamine-esque, angular indie-disco-pogo of ‘Flower Chain’ looks set to propel taffy evermore skywards.
The new release has received a lot of critical acclaim, with The Fly commenting: “Classic British indie pop from Japan? Yes! Coxon-esque guitar lines meet sugary female harmonies in a sunshine-fuelled cocktail of joy.”
Their tour kicks off on October 24th in London’s Brixton Windmill, and will take them to venues in Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Lancaster, Chester, Nottingham - and London again. Check the dates below the video for the full details
