Jesus Christ Superstar To Return To UK Arenas In Spring 2013 & Tickets

Following this year's run of shows, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary rock classic Jesus Christ Superstar will return to UK arenas in spring 2013.
Due to demand, the Jesus Christ Superstar UK and Ireland arena tour will briefly return to Nottingham, London, Liverpool, Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham in March next year.
Ben Forster, taking on the role of Jesus, will star alongside Tim Minchin, Melanie C and Chris Moyles. Award-winning musical comedian Tim Minchin – also the co-writer of West End smash musical Matilda – is in the role of ‘Judas Iscariot’. Three million album selling pop icon and former Spice Girl Melanie C will takes the only female lead as ‘Mary Magdalene’, and BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show host Chris Moyles performs as ‘King Herod’.
This year's arena tour sold well in excess of 100,000 tickets and generated advance box office sales of over £5 million. Jesus Christ Superstar will give arena audiences the opportunity to witness a full production of the musical including a full staging and live band.
