As their sold out UK tour comes to an end this week at London’s Brixton Academy (check out Stereoboard's review of their Cardiff show here), Two Door Cinema Club today reveal the video for new single 'Next Year', released on February 18th through Kitsuné.
Filmed at the band’s recent show at The O2 Arena in Dublin, the video documents their largest headline performance to date with over 10,000 fans in attendance. The video gives an intimate glimpse into the band’s incendiary live show and the hysteria surrounding them on tour.
"We've been having so much fun playing shows this year that we thought it very appropriate to make one into a music video. The O2 Arena in Dublin is one of the biggest headline shows we've ever played, so we thought it would be a great idea to capture it on film. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!", said Sam Halliday.
Once their UK shows end on Friday the band embark on an extensive European tour before heading to South America for shows in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Chile. Following that they are set to play Lollapalooza, Coachella and a series of shows in Mexico before returning to the UK for their biggest headline show to date at Alexandra Palace in London on April 27th.
The band last week announced they would be performing at Radio 1‘s Big Weekend in Londonderry in May. With a slot at T In The Park in July also already confirmed, there are more festival announcements to come shortly.
