Eccentric pop superstar Lady Gaga has been forced to cancel the remaining dates of her US and Canada tour, as she undergoes surgery for a labral tear on her right hip.
The singer unfortunately had to cancel a gig in Chicago because of her injury, but had originally hoped that she’d be able to continue the rest of her tour as planned. But now, sadly for fans, she’s been forced to rest - meaning the remainder of her North American tour won’t be going ahead.
A statement coming from Gaga’s website reads: “Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled. After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.”
The star has also tweeted about her ordeal, telling fans:
It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry.
