The family of the King of Pop himself Michael Jackson are reportedly looking for a massive £26billion of compensation from gig promoters AEG Live, to cover damages and a loss of future earnings following his untimely death in 2009.
The hefty amount is expected by his mother Katherine and his three children Paris, Blanket, and Prince, who believe they have lost out on huge amounts of money following the cancellation of 50 comeback concerts prior to his death. They also believe they are owed billions in damages.
The concerts are believed to have played a big role in his death, as he was injected with propofol - which eventually led to his death - to help him sleep after growing tired from extensive rehearsing for the gigs.
This new court case is set to kick off next month in LA, and AEG are believed to argue that the massive figure is a largely unrealistic valuation of Jackson’s losses. What do you think of the news - should AEG be forced to pay, or are the Jackson family being unreasonable?
