The Graveltones, Ulysses And The Temperance Movement To Support Rival Sons On UK Tour

Rival Sons are returning to Europe this week for a headlining tour in support of their latest album, 'Head Down', and have revealed their hand-picked support bands for the trek.

The tour kicks off on Friday, March 22nd in Bonn, Germany, and wraps up on April 16th in Cambridge, UK. Supporting Rival Sons are The Balconies, The Graveltones, Ulysses and The Temperance Movement.

Rival Sons guitarist Scott Holiday comments: "Europe: We had a terrific band out with us on our last tour through Canada - so terrific we had to ask 'em to come out to Europe with us. Toronto locals, The Balconies. A stellar three-piece, fronted by a fired-up, foxy guitar-playing gal (in one Miss Jacquie). These guys (and gal) write great songs, are great players, and definitely bring their 'A' game live. Dancy, upbeat, poppy, yet still gritty and tough. They fired the 'Canucks' right up night after night before we hit the stage. Can't wait to see what they do this time around. In addition to kicking major ass, they've agreed to cook us a pancake breakfast every morning of the tour. Thanks Balconies. Bon appetit!

"UK: We're happy to bring you some really great support acts this time, broken up between three great bands. The first being the rowdy, blues'd up duo the Graveltones. These cats are very in line with the live rawness we appreciate; very exciting two-piece. Plus we heard they will be making us a fresh berry pie every night of the tour. Delicious.

"Second, we're bringing back a band I absolutely fell in love with on the last tour - Ulysses. We all became great pals on the last tour, but that's not why we've asked 'em back. They write great songs and whip major ass live. Hook-laden smarts and great tones to boot. Coming out on the back of their new record; they should be swapping out a few songs for a few new tunes, which I am excited to check out. Additionally, word on the street is the band will be liquidating their entire vinyl record collections to the Rival Sons upon completion of the tour. Good boys, there - give me your records.

"Lastly is a new band that seem to be stirring things up around in the UK - The Temperance Movement. I've just become acquainted with these boys, but they have a pretty darned nice little rock 'n' roll sound! Dirty rock 'n' roll indeed. I'm looking forward to hearing their live set, and seeing how hard these boys will bring it! Luckily they will be giving me all their guitars and exquisite hat collection at the end of the tour. Thanks, fellas."

Rival Sons drummer Michael Miley has also posted a video message for fans ahead of the tour.
