Simon Cowell Egged During Britain's Got Talent Live Final

Simon Cowell may be one of the biggest forces in the pop music industry right now, but there’s no denying he’s probably one of the most hated, too - there’s always stories of celebrities and musicians alike damning Cowell and his X Factor/Britain’s Got Talent shows. But, over the weekend, Cowell was attacked by someone he most likely wasn’t expecting one bit - after a contestant on BGT threw eggs at him!
The incident - which occurred at the live finals of the show on Saturday night - saw the mogul pelted with eggs by Natalie Holt, a member of Richard and Adam Johnson’s backing band, while the pair of brothers were in the middle of their performance. Rich and Adam still managed to finish third despite Holt’s actions, and she’s since apologised - but we doubt Cowell will be forgiving her any time soon! She said in a statement:
“I want to apologise to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I've never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realised it was a silly thing to do.”
After being dragged away by security, Holt even had the police called on her - but it’s been reported by NME that she will face no further action. But, although she did apologise, she was later quoted by the Telegraph saying that she was taking a ‘stand against people miming on television and against Simon and his dreadful influence on the music industry’.
Though a lot of the YouTube videos of the incident have been removed by BGT (seems like Cowell doesn’t want to be seen with egg on his face!), there are a couple still remaining - you can check out one below. Judge Amanda Holden has since hit out at Holt, and said that the ‘only person with egg on their face is that stupid cow’.
Check out the video below, and leave us a comment with your opinion on the matter - was it a stupid thing to do, or did Cowell deserve a good pelting?!
