Glee star Cory Monteith died of an alcohol and heroin overdose, a coroner has confirmed.
The 31-year-old Canadian actor, who played Finn on the award-winning show, was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on July 13.
According to the BBC, coroners have now confirmed that Monteith was killed by a combination of heroin and alcohol, and a statement from their office states that there is no ‘evidence to suggest Mr Monteith's death was anything other than a most tragic accident’.
Monteith had a long history of substance abuse problems - he began drinking and smoking cannabis at age 13, and dropped out of school at 16. He entered rehab at age 19 after an intervention by his mother and friends.
