The remaining members of legendary comedy troupe Monty Python will reunite for a live show at London’s O2 Arena in July 2014.
John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin and Terry Jones were joined by Warwick Davis to announce the show at a press conference at The Palace Theatre in London on Thursday.
The Pythons will turn out on July 1, 2014, with tickets (priced between £27.50 and £95.00) on sale at 10am on November 25. Idle told reporters that fans can expect: "A little comedy, a lot of pathos."
News of their reunion circulated earlier this week, with Jones telling the BBC: "I hope it makes us a lot of money. I hope to be able to pay off my mortgage!"
It's 30 years since the Pythons' last film was released - The Meaning Of Life - while they last appeared together at the Aspen Comedy Festival in 1998. Graham Chapman, who took on the lead roles in Monty Python And The Holy Grail and Life Of Brian, died of cancer in 1989.
