Gerard Way Returns With Action Cat From Solo Debut

Gerard Way has released Action Cat, the first taste of his solo debut.
The former My Chemical Romance frontman recorded the album, expected this autumn, with Doug McKean, with backing from guitarist Ian Fowles, bassist Matt Gorney and drummer Jarrod Alexander. Action Cat is available to download now.
Way will make his live bow at Reading and Leeds this summer and has signed a deal with Warner Bros. In a statement, he said:
“I am continuing full-steam into comics, art, and more importantly to some of you - music. I am pleased to let you know I am now signed as a solo artist Warner Bros. Records. My album is near completion, and you should expect to hear things in the near future, even today actually - with a brief snippet of what is to come. I am excited. It’s starting again.”
