Boxed In have unveiled a video for their latest single, Jist.
The song is cut from their sophomore album, 'Melt', which is set to arrive on September 23 via Nettwerk Records and follows up their 2015 self-titled debut. Discussing the clip, director Wayne McCauslin said:
"The music video for Jist came about initially when incorporating Oli's liking for surrealist artists that we both admire, I drew a lot of inspiration from the likes of F.Bacon, Escher and Hitchcock whilst trying to keep things funky. Oli's composition offered me a lot of visual ground for adding elements and glitches here and there, so the creative process felt very natural and it was fun to play with“.
Frontman Oli Bayston added:
"I think Wayne has done an incredible job with the video. He’s managed to adopt my lyrical themes of paranoia and claustrophobia and actually make them fun! Quite an achievement. He’s also created a world I’d love to visit some time."
Boxed In will follow the release of the record with a London show on September 29. Tickets are on sale now, priced at £10.00, plus fees.
Boxed In Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:
