John Joseph Brill has revealed his new single, A Place To Drown.
The track is taken from his new EP, 'I'm Not Alright', which is due for release on July 11 and boasts production and an appearance by Andrew Davie of Bear's Den.
Speaking about the new song, Brill said:
"As with all of the songs on the record A Place To Drown is a break-up song, quite explicitly so. But for me it's also about leaving behind an enormous section of your life... the city I lived in, the people I grew to know, the rituals I had for myself. The place to drown itself refers to me, often in relationships I feel there's a danger that one can become an object of escapism rather than a partner..."
The London-based singer-songwriter will play a headline show at the Lexington on November 20. Tickets are on sale now, priced at £8.00 plus fees.
