Guitarist John Frusciante Rejoins Red Hot Chili Peppers

Monday, 16 December 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

John Frusciante has rejoined the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

They announced the news via Instagram and confirmed that they were parting ways with Josh Klinghoffer, their guitarist of the last ten years who took over when Frusciante left in 2009. Read the full statement below.

During Klinghoffer's time with the funk-rock band, they put out two albums, 2011's 'I'm With You' and 2016's 'The Getaway', and various live releases.

Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform with their reunited line up for the first time at Hangout Music Festival on May 15 at the Gulf Shores in Alabama.
