Pixies Plot UK And European Tour For Spring 2025, Share New Single Motoroller

Pixies have announced UK and European shows for spring 2025.
The Boston alt-rockers have scheduled a 20-date tour, which kicks off in Utrecht, Netherlands on April 25 before stops in Antwerp, Groningen, Tilburg, Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Bordeaux, Nantes, Granada, and Lisbon.
The UK leg will take place between May 13 and 24 and includes two nights at London's O2 Academy Brixton, alongside gigs in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff, Newcastle and Manchester. Tickets for all dates go on general sale at 9am local time on Friday (September 20).
The trek will support the group's new album, 'The Night The Zombies Came', which is due out on October 25 via BMG.
Having previously teased the record with the singles Oyster Beds, You’re So Impatient and Chicken, the band have today dropped the brooding, gentle, and mostly acoustic Motoroller, inspired by a scooter ride frontman and songwriter Black Francis took across Berlin. He said:
"This is one of those kinds of songs where there's little threads you can follow and they take you somewhere. But they're not required for the experience. You can just start fishing around in the lyrics, and maybe you won't find exactly what the story is, but you'll find a story related to the city of Berlin. So just have fun with the clues that are there."
Pixies will also support Pearl Jam at stadium shows in Australia and New Zealand later this year. Tickets are on sale now.
