Kasabian Triumph At War Child's Brit Awards After Show

Kasabian - the official best band in Britain, celebrated their 2010 Brit Award with a triumphant performance at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire for charity War Child last night.
In front of 2,000 very lucky fans, fresh from winning the Brit for Best British Group, Kasabian joined with fellow Brit nominees La Roux and Calvin Harris to Headline War Child's 2010 Post-Brits Party.
Tom Meighan said: "This was an epic, special evening for us - and there was no better way to mark it than with this performance. To be be in a venue with our fans and friends and to have everyone with their hands in the air for War Child and Kasabian. It was historic."
War Child's Music Director Ben Knowles added: "Tonight the acts did something remarkable, doing something that will make a difference to the lives of children in the harshest war zones. It was a unique and historic night of live music."
Less than two hours after their triumph at the Brits, Kasabian stormed through a 50 minute set of their greatest hits and were joined by special guest Noel Fielding for single Vlad The Impaler. La Roux, nominee for Best Single and Best Breakthrough, thrilled the exclusive crowd with her hits and to was joined by the legends Heaven 17 for a very special performance of the iconic 'Temptation'. Completing the star studded line up were Brit nominee Calvin Harris and Radio One DJ Zane Lowe who both played crowd thrilling DJ sets.
The night was the second Annual War Child Post-Brits Party, 2009's event featured Coldplay, The Killers and Bono. All proceeds go to help children who are the innocent victims of conflict in countries including Iraq, Afghanistan, Uganda and DRC.
