Anthrax are a thrash metal band from New York City, New York.

Formed in 1981, the band have released eleven studio albums, including their latest record, ‘For All Kings’, which arrived in 2016.

Having been known for drawing influence from pop culture, the band have written songs about or inspired by everything from comic book characters to real life actors, from novels to TV shows. They are widely considered to be the one of the most prominent artists responsible for pioneering speed and thrash metal.
