Aventura are a bachata and reggaeton band from The Bronx, New York.

Formed in 1994, they are widely regarded as one of the most influential Latin groups of all time, and were the first major bachata to come from the United States, with the genre having originated in the Dominican Republic.

With countless honours and accolades to their name—including two Latin Grammy nominations—they have released five albums to date, with the latest being 'The Last' in 2009.
