Babyshambles are an English indie-rock outfit hailing from London. Formed in 2003 by indie icon Pete Doherty after his original band The Libertines entered hiatus, it’s now Doherty’s main musical project, and currently sees him joined by guitarist Mick Whitnall, bassist Drew McConnell, and Stereophonics drummer Jamie Morrison.
The band released their debut album ‘Down in Albion’ in 2005, and hit #10 in the UK Albums chart - helped by Doherty’s tabloid notoriety around the same time. This catapulted them into the limelight, and their next album ‘Shotter’s Nation’ - out in 2007 - hit #5.
