Baloji is a Belgian poet, lyricist, and performer. Born in the Republic of Congo, his music takes influence from African music, traditional jazz, soul, and funk through the medium of trance and deep house.
Baloji was part of the hip hop group Starflam until 2004. His award winning debut album as a solo artist, the biographical ‘Hotel Impala’, was released in 2008. His latest release was an EP in 2015, entitled ‘64 Bits and Malachite’. Baloji will play one UK date at London's Omeara in March.
